Six Impossible Things

I proudly present the six impossible things I've been known to believe before breakfast.
And maybe a few more.

zachklein gave an in depth analysis of his three professional flaws and, in response, here are mine:

1.  Procrastination. Never put off ‘til tomorrow what you can put off ‘til next week.  Right now, for example, I’m responding to a post on Tumblr that someone I don’t know wrote.  I’ve already completed half of today’s USA TODAY crossword.  I made my manga avatar.  I’ve stood around in The Pit making tea and eating a granola bar.  I’ve given my email a cursory scan (mostly just marketing junk mail) at best and have opted to continue to procrastinate.  I have a full page of things to do today in my little “Things To Do Today” notebook and haven’t crossed one of them off and I’ve been here for 90 minutes.  Now, the things will get done, have no fear, but I marvel at the notion that I could have gotten 25% done by now had I just focused.  (Please note that after this paragraph was typed, I lost interest in my other two flaws and actually started working on the Things To Do Today.  Funny how that works.)

2.  Unbelievable Procrastination. I am just now getting back to writing this.  It’s 1:25pm.

3.  Process Intolerance. I hate following rules.  I hate processes.  I hate pointless meetings.  Bring any of those things into the equation and I immediately tune out.  This is not good when you work with corporations because they always have all of those things.

I’m just going to post this before I put it off again.

EDIT:  It’s nearly 4pm and I just got around to proofing it which I was going to do right after I got water from the water cooler.  Admittedly, a 1.5 hour meeting was in there too.
